It depends on your targeted country, Majority of internet users are using Google but there are some countries that prefer Yahoo.

I think google are not filtering natural inbound links and artificial inbound links. Try getting editorial inbound links instead.

search engine can still crawl a dynamic website but it is better if you can apply a mod rewrite to your dynamic pages.

google analytics is a very good one.
You may use awtats and statcounter as well as alternatives.
