Thats right... but you have to make it in xml form to be able to add it in your google site map.. Its good, like what he says.. google can easily crawl all your pages..

Thats right, if you you cn buy links from high traffic site thats related to you..
or simply exchange link with your competitor.. but its a hard thing to do, but it gives you good result

Yes, that's true, my site (the one in my sig) has hundreds of backlinkes in all other search engines ( yahoo, altavista, alltheweb...) and no one in google, though it was indexed by google few weeks ago, the site itself was created little more than a month ago. I'm a programmer myself, but I'm not ...
