The menu shifts when you go to different pages (Netscape), i would fix this as its a simple error, but a rather damaging one. I like the colors though. I would try to add some more imagery too.

i think this will create an overlapping effect, i think people will see past the illusion and realize that is multiple objects with alpha fades. No, what i saw was a true gaussian blur, like one that you would make in after effects or photoshop. i wish i could remember what site i saw it on so i cou...

well it seems that the first two sites are just using basic bevel filters that you can find in most image editing programs like Photoshop. It's basically faux 3d. in the bacardi site, the only thing that i saw that was "3d" was the swooshing red box, and i think that was a basic shape tween carefull...

i too have 250 megs, i didnt sign up for anything either. my gut tells me that they are trying to entice people to the idea of having a large hotmail account, then they will yank it away after we get used to it, say that they "trial" period is over and expect us to pay...i could be wrong though.

Post Posted: November 12th, 2004, 8:04 am

I agree, nice site. I think the colors are spot on. If you find that not a of people are participating in the contest, i would have it stand out more and be a little more prominent. when i went i didn't really notice it at first. and with more people you only have a few seconds to get their attention.

Post Posted: November 12th, 2004, 7:49 am

My suggestion is on the home page, make your logo smoother, you can see the faces of the poly model quite clearly, i would add more faces and make it smoother, i would also tilt it to face the viewer a little more, as it stand right now, the logo dosnt read well because of the angle.
