Hi, I was wondering if there was a third party program available for converting an swf file to both an .scr for windows and a saver file for mac? I know about screentime V3, but it requires you to buy both windows and mac versions to create the respective file types (which doesn't totally make sense...

Ok, so I have been doing a website for a client and I have been using straight CSS. I have tested it in IE7, Firefox, and Safari and they all look fine. BUT I went on my friends computer last night and I wanted to show him what I was working on and he had IE6, and the page layout was totally thrown ...

from a designer point of view, nice layout. it makes sense and there isn't much going on taking away from what your really presenting.

I would though get a few more "ball" oriented games as others have stated.

I don't understand what this site does? Is it a banner exchange? Things to work on: 1. Try a new layout. its very cluttered. I would try an image scroller so you can display a few at a time, there is something out there to over come the whole clutterness of the site. Its quite overwhelming. 2. There...

Sounds interesting but I agree, I don't think its very convincing. At first glance, I wouldn't do it. Besides, firefox can keep all my passwords and things saved, and if I wanted to look at them, I can easily view them. I would suggest that you come up with a privacy Policy, terms of use, and user a...

I like the layout. only things I see that need work are. 1. The picture on the left side of your header image is stretched to much. You might want to take it into photoshop and fix the picture. 2. Your links at the left side are blue, on blue. Which is hard to read, I would make them black or someth...

I would also get a ".com"

.info doesn't make any sense.

is there any way of rolling over an image and have text pop up next to it in CSS? (thats not another image) popping up. say for example, I have 6 images on the left and a blank space on the right. I roll over an image of a person and his/her bio shows up in the blank space on the right. Sort of like...

yea I got screwed like that too, I built a website and the client just kinda fell off the face of the earth, no money nothing... then I found the next month that they had a new website... not by me. the main thing is to get a contract written and signed before you do ANYTHING. and I agree with ATNO/...

Figured it out, after posting this problem on various forums. Funny how I posted it and I figure out it something totally different. It was an auto ban that the CMS put on for the specific IP (because of invalid log ins) that was the residential network at moravian college... I removed the ban, and ...

I found that the site itself (content) was not as refined as the navigation. IE I thought the layout was almost just thrown together after the navigation and flash into was finished. Did you just do the flash part? or did you do the whole site?

Post Posted: February 2nd, 2005, 6:10 am

Hi, I haven't posted in a while... school issues... anyways... Here are some things. Change the background, it really takes away from the content, its too busy. I like the layout, its really easy to nav. Only thing about the design is that everything is embossed, guessing you used something like pho...

I think he made a blog? did you create the whole thing? like the code and stuff. Or are you just installing a code from another website on to yours? I'm not totally understanding it either.

Post Posted: August 20th, 2004, 6:15 pm

For some reason I don't see anything other than the site, so I see no problems. OTHER than the really annoying sounds. You might want to just make a more non-poping sound... also (lol) you might want to add some color to the buttons.

I like the flash banner on top. The flash menu is kind of anoying after a little while, but I'll deal. The little dotted lines around "welcome" and "whats new" look sort of funky, I don't know if you wanted to copy the flash effects in the menu, but I think you should just create an image for the he...

Well if 2advanced is your goal, you got a long way to go, they are insane. I would say a good start would be Marcomedia FlashMX or an even easier one that will get you started would be SWiSH. I got into flash a few months ago, but then I realized I needed more html, css, and design background before...

I agree with nixing the green and blue.

also the scrolling bars are wierd yellows and they don't go with the scheme.

Other than colors clashing I like the layout.

Post Posted: April 26th, 2004, 10:15 am

All I can say is it is very busy! Don't get the horse part, but I guess if I read into the site, I would sometime come upon an answer to that... Might want to fix the outline of the horse, its white then red. The scrolling links banner is really distracting. and the orange roll-overs and headings do...

First off I really like the animated water and windmill, I thought it was all flash until I slected it, thought it was really nice to see somthing so subtly done in flash. Thanks for your comments! First, on the Home page. In the News box, you might want to resize the box so that it loses the scroll bar on the bottom. It doesn't seem to have that problem? hmm... Very pink, I think the colors clash. Other than that its cool, kinda reminds me of playing Roller Coaster Tycoon. On the roll over, you should make the colors change, not just the text. Might want a bigger graphic although I just like graphix 8) Overall I like the idea :) Colors are sort of funky

Really like the minimalistc(sp?) nature of the flash site.
I also like the HTML site too :) Very well layed out.

And I defniatly will check the flash tutorial later.

Is it possible that the Loopy thing will be finished?

Post Posted: April 6th, 2004, 6:29 pm

Well I can say that I like the intro... kinda long but cool. I don't have a 56k so I really can't say how long it would take to DL there (seems long though...) The actuall site is way to busy! Wow very orange. Might want to put some cool colors to dampen the overwhelming orange. Also might want to add a splash page. [too bad I don't know dutch....] I like the nav. First thing, I just have a question about your splash page. is the image changing? or am I just really tired? lol anyway...
