Hi, I was wondering if there was a third party program available for converting an swf file to both an .scr for windows and a saver file for mac? I know about screentime V3, but it requires you to buy both windows and mac versions to create the respective file types (which doesn't totally make sense...

Ok, so I have been doing a website for a client and I have been using straight CSS. I have tested it in IE7, Firefox, and Safari and they all look fine. BUT I went on my friends computer last night and I wanted to show him what I was working on and he had IE6, and the page layout was totally thrown ...

from a designer point of view, nice layout. it makes sense and there isn't much going on taking away from what your really presenting.

I would though get a few more "ball" oriented games as others have stated.

I don't understand what this site does? Is it a banner exchange? Things to work on: 1. Try a new layout. its very cluttered. I would try an image scroller so you can display a few at a time, there is something out there to over come the whole clutterness of the site. Its quite overwhelming. 2. There...

Sounds interesting but I agree, I don't think its very convincing. At first glance, I wouldn't do it. Besides, firefox can keep all my passwords and things saved, and if I wanted to look at them, I can easily view them. I would suggest that you come up with a privacy Policy, terms of use, and user a...

I like the layout. only things I see that need work are. 1. The picture on the left side of your header image is stretched to much. You might want to take it into photoshop and fix the picture. 2. Your links at the left side are blue, on blue. Which is hard to read, I would make them black or someth...

I would also get a ".com"

.info doesn't make any sense.

is there any way of rolling over an image and have text pop up next to it in CSS? (thats not another image) popping up. say for example, I have 6 images on the left and a blank space on the right. I roll over an image of a person and his/her bio shows up in the blank space on the right. Sort of like...

cool idea.

I do agree with the colors, although they do match the header.

yea I got screwed like that too, I built a website and the client just kinda fell off the face of the earth, no money nothing... then I found the next month that they had a new website... not by me. the main thing is to get a contract written and signed before you do ANYTHING. and I agree with ATNO/...

Figured it out, after posting this problem on various forums. Funny how I posted it and I figure out it something totally different. It was an auto ban that the CMS put on for the specific IP (because of invalid log ins) that was the residential network at moravian college... I removed the ban, and ...

Ok, for some reason I can not load my website: http://www.mocophoto.org [unmasked forwarded to http://mopho.sirendt.com] on any Macs on my campus, but it works on PCs. I checked the CHMOD, and that was fine. It uses e107 content managment system v7.02 The thing that really gets me is that I have ano...

I found that the site itself (content) was not as refined as the navigation. IE I thought the layout was almost just thrown together after the navigation and flash into was finished. Did you just do the flash part? or did you do the whole site?

Hi, I haven't posted in a while... school issues... anyways... Here are some things. Change the background, it really takes away from the content, its too busy. I like the layout, its really easy to nav. Only thing about the design is that everything is embossed, guessing you used something like pho...

I think he made a blog? did you create the whole thing? like the code and stuff. Or are you just installing a code from another website on to yours? I'm not totally understanding it either.

Post Posted: August 20th, 2004, 6:15 pm

For some reason I don't see anything other than the site, so I see no problems. OTHER than the really annoying sounds. You might want to just make a more non-poping sound... also (lol) you might want to add some color to the buttons.

I like the flash banner on top. The flash menu is kind of anoying after a little while, but I'll deal. The little dotted lines around "welcome" and "whats new" look sort of funky, I don't know if you wanted to copy the flash effects in the menu, but I think you should just create an image for the he...

Well for what its worth, I actaully think the site doesn't look have bad. Except the iframe, but thats the only way I could think of doing what I wanted. I know, I need to learn more about coding and design, but it works in firefox, IE, and Safari. (I am actaully taking my first design class next se...
