I don't have a problem with the layout.. I like that its real simple, and doesn't look bad despite not having any images. The thing that I don't like so much is the color scheme. I don't mind the gray background, or how any of the font colors look on top of the gray for that matter. However, I don't...

Found this while looking up - they have a free trial too:

Maybe it'll be useful to someone else.

I downloaded a free trial of Ulead Smart Saver Pro: http://www.ulead.com/products/web_design.htm and it really cut down the file size of my graphics by over 50% and my page loads much faster now - about 29 secs which I guess still isn't very good. The flash navbar is whats taking up time but I don't...

For some reason the PR is not being displayed on most every site for me right now. Once in a while it is, but usually not, why is this? Could there possibly be an update?

It was the database name that was wrong, thanks.

Post Posted: May 4th, 2004, 4:58 pm

I took your advice and found a bunch of different scripts for polls there. I did one and I think I have everything set up except when I try setting up a poll and it connects to the database it says: 1044: Access denied for user: '***********@localhost' to database 'poll' The login seems right and if...

Post Posted: April 26th, 2004, 11:32 am

I have started a directory which is pretty specific (just baseball sites allowed in). I was wondering how I could promote it, is it any different than a regular website or are there lists of directories I can submit it to.

Post Posted: April 26th, 2004, 8:03 am

when I place the code on a different page I always get the public service ads. Why don't the regular ads come up like the ones on my original site?

Post Posted: April 25th, 2004, 1:45 pm

The same thing has happened with me and my friend too with a site that we share.

My site was PR of 5 after the update but is now showing most of the time as a 4 again.

He sees it as a 5 most of the time but says once in a while it is a 4.

Also, we both live in the same state (NY).

Post Posted: April 24th, 2004, 1:46 pm

Thanks for clearing that up so quickly for me :)

Post Posted: April 24th, 2004, 1:42 pm

Sorry for the question, but how do you check pr with this? http://64.233.161.98/

My PR was a 5 before this update but now its flashing back and forth between 4 & 5 and it is really bugging me.

The last recent PR update pushed my kind of new site to a a PR of 5, but all of a sudden today I'm back to a 4. Why would this happen?

Post Posted: April 19th, 2004, 8:00 am

I had around 10 links to me and had a 0 PR. Then the next update came and it went to 3. You'll be fine come the next update.

Alright, I used some of your suggestions and put this in:

Code: [ Select ]
$query = mysql_query($sql) OR DIE(mysql_error());
"SELECT * FROM details WHERE $metode LIKE '%search%' LIMIT 0, 50";
  1. $query = mysql_query($sql) OR DIE(mysql_error());
  2. "SELECT * FROM details WHERE $metode LIKE '%search%' LIMIT 0, 50";

Now when I try to search it says: Query was Empty. Any ideas how to fix?

Thanks, and now that I think about it, all the google links they recognize going to my site are not on pages called links. Seeing that, would it be a good idea to cancel these link exchanges with places that are not being recognized or is there still any benefit by it? Thanks.

Post Posted: February 3rd, 2004, 7:58 pm

Well, it seems to work fine because it connects fine and the query works, but I get "no matches found" even though I am searching for something I know is in the database. Any thoughts about why?
