Heh Heh... just delete my post, I reconsidered my point, and now that I think about it, it's just for the sole purpose of a little recognition and appreciation for people's knowledge; not like being embarrassed in front of 1000 kids :D

True, but there are many new ventures which offer incredible features, that they follow up on, but they are on no Internet backbone, I've even seen some on a bare T3! rofl that's why it was only $3 a month for 3 gigs of space, 100 gigs of bandwith!

^^ Just a teenager who wanted to make money!

Forums bother me for the sole reason that there are an OVERWHELMING amount of them out there, so I don't know which one to actually pick and post one. I am a mod and / or former mod on a few, and I post occassionally on probably 25 or 30. The main ones are: ⋅ www.metacheat.net << cou...

I am currently testing them out just because they have some sort of free promotion; what can you lose? just pay $5.99 a year for the domain, and you've got yourself a free site! by the way, webhostingtalk forums are really good! they've got great discussion about web hosting there, ironically enough!

I am 99.9% sure this is a browser hi-jacker; they use every opportunity they can to redirect you to their search site; it's one of those seemingly legit MSN-like redirects, but they mess everything up; that's why when you type http://t3/ it redirects you; there is no TLD (the .com, .net, .org), so i...

http://www.ipowerweb.com << Ipowerweb for: ⋅  http://www.worksofmagic.com ⋅  http://www.roxboxnow.com It's decent, but they get you on certain things, like sub-domains, which are TEN bucks! But it's a great price, only $7.95 a month if y...

Hello all, I really like the idea of the Ozzu Oscars, where hard-working people can earn a little recognition for their knowledge, but their is one thing that kind of bothers me about it. The polls show the result, including the percentages of votes that each nominee got, which really irritates me; ...

You can block an ISP's range; you can probably obtain this from the ISP you are trying to block, ironically enough. For example, if you want to block all of the users from Cox Communications Virginia region, you can e-mail them and get the range of IPs for that area; they will most likely give them ...

CHMOD is simple for web documents. Here is a reference, if you don't have a GUI picker like FileZilla: Read is given a value of 4; Write is given a value of 2; Execute is given a value of 1. OWNER is the first digit GROUP is the second digit WORLD is the third digit Let's say you were using IE's bui...

use the php mail function to send; and you can format the e-mail using the variables you defined in the script, i.e. the person's name could be $name, so it would send an e-mail to you like NAME: $name, where $name would be the person's name. Here you will find detailed information and syntax specif...

CTRL+F5 - Force refresh in IE, good if you have cached pages, 99% of us do, especially immediately after updating a page on a site via FTP, or after updating the hosts file (C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts) if you've got those stupid browser hijackers CTRL+E - Built-in IE Search feature; it's...

For #1, you can easily do this in PHP, I am just blanking out on PHP right now. One way is to pass values via the URL, i.e. using pre-defined variables and passing them with the argument character, ?, like: [code]www.yourdomain.com/newsletter/subscribe.php?fname=Roseanne&&lname=Conway&&e...

If you are using Linux, and therefore most likely Apache, and you have access to httpd.conf , the main configuration file for Apache, you can add whatever extensions you want under the AddModule directives somewhere in the middle of the file... it's really EZ; for example, I could make a php file kn...
