How can you track if real people with real computers and faked but accurate IPs click on ads? I think the major problem is that a lot of the fraud is people participating in large networks who make cash by surfing a large number of sites. How can you track if a real human surf maybe 500 sites per da...

It's kind of strange. I monitor multiple sites and it's very calm for all keywords tracked. This is not a usual situation for me and I thought someone else saw the same...but it seems like I'm alone. Normally I see jumps during the day for many terms...right now I hardly see ANY move for ANY term fo...

I've seen very small changes in SERPS the last couple of days. Is it only me or is anyone else experiencing the same thing? Normally I see a lot of changes everyday. Does anyone have a theory on why? I guess I'm just missing the action and would like to find out when I can expect more activity again...

Which site has the most pages indexed in Google?

experts-exchange.com currently show 364,000 pages indexed when I search today.

Anyone seen more for one site?

Please take a look at the new thread I started today. I think it explains it all:

Did you check Google frontpage today? This is the reason for the huge activity from Google the recent days. The index is now doubled. My guess is that Google had problems with limitations and found a way to work it out. What do you say?

Not sure if we are talking about the same thing, but I've seen a big increase in the pool size (total number of pages GG has found) for my most important keyphrase. Normally, searching for that phrase returns 1200k pages. About a month or so ago, the pool dropped to about 1000k. That was around the...

Yup, Google has been sucking the bandwidth from our site for the last week or so. Speculation that google is up to something - however increased bot activity could just be a Google trying to offer better results by making the fresher and more updated. Yes, but today Google is not only sucking the b...

Hi everyone!

Did anyone else notice a huge increase in number of pages indexed with Google today? Most of our sites see 50-100% increase compared to a couple of hours ago. I've never seen a "dance" like this before and really hope it would stay. Any ideas or thoughts regarding this?

Thanks.

I doubt the number of external links has anything to do with it. Of course it will not pass that much PR to his other pages but the mainpage should still have a good PR. I will tell him to make the HTML changes. I think the external links is what makes the site popular and he will not touch those. A...

Hi everyone! I hope someone can help me help an old friend. His site is many years old and he have many links on many sites but still his PR is 0 and no backlinks can be found according to Google. This is simply not correct. He contacted Google and they told him that he is not banned but he has to f...

Well....I would have 2 PR 10 sites after next update if that tool was accurate. I guess that tells a lot about that tool.

Post Posted: May 28th, 2004, 1:10 pm

No backlinks...but I still see a PR 4. Very strange.

Post Posted: May 28th, 2004, 1:03 pm

hmm...are you sure that Google don't mess with the URL because of the different language or location? I don't get PR with the .com and english settings for some reason. Anyway, each time someone does what I just did, posting a search URL, the PR for that URL will get higher I guess. Another question...

I've seen PR in search results sometimes...so I don't agree. :)

Take a look at this:

http://www.google.se/search?q=web+hosti ... l=sv&meta=

It shows PR 4 for me.

I have a friend that has a site with an index page that only contains images. I know this is bad when it comes to SERPS. My question is: Should he redo the entire site or would it be enough to enter all texts in alt tags(yes, he have images with texts)? Will the result be about the same as with norm...

Anyone notice it? Today the search results from Google have changed quite dramatically since a previous dramatic change in January --- is this just for Germany, or is anyone else out there seeing new changes?

I finally see some results! I'm getting a much higher ranking for many terms. Did anyone else see a change today? I wish I know this was not a temporary change. Is there anyway to tell?

It's a mix of paid advertising, partnerships and link swaps done manually. I'm sure there must be very big health related sites you could try to work with. I think I may have figured it out; 19,900 linking to http://www.getafreelancer.com ....WOW  How can I get as much sites linking mine, wha...

When I check Google today it seems like that mainpage is no longer there?!?! Does anyone know what the reason could be and what to do about it?

Thanks!

How come they don't allow affiliate networks? I see most of the others there. It's not just an affiliate program, it's a network like valueclick.com, cj.com, shareasale.com, affiliatefuel.com etc. I will check the status in a while. I have been doing this with AffiliateNetwork.com. Both sites are li...

Thanks for the advices vetofunk! Regarding dmoz....it's submitted but it seems like I never get anything through at dmoz. Hi there... I have been working on PR for a while and now I'm starting to see some good results. I'm still working to optimize the site content. I'm kind of disapointed since I was hoping for a little better results. My question is: Do I make anything very obvious totally wrong or do I just need som...
