I recently bought a ViewSonic LCD monitor. When I connect its DVI-D cable to my computer the sound is gone. I believe DVI is for video only, so it should not effect the sound. Is there something I am missing? Please help how to get the sound back while using DVI.

Is there any software(except VCDCutter) by which I can capture screenshot from a video file (mpg/avi etc.)? Free is the first choice. I don't like VCDCutter, I find various problems with it including BSOD, conflict with my webcam driver etc.

Hi all,
well I am seeking a software that locks my folder(not individual files) so that it is visible by others but when double-clicked to open should ask for password, not like hidden by the program. Anybody with any information?

Yes, motherboard first, coz I also think that will help me get better GPU options. The processor is Intel Pentium 4 (Prescott) 3.0 GHz HyperThreading.
And for the PSU info I have to ask him. Well thanks for reminding that part.

He finally decided to change the mobo. So what I need is a suggestion for better (not best, as he's not going to rely much on desktop) motherboard. It will be used to run high resource consuming programs like NetBeans, Dreamweaver and playing games like NFS Carbon. I guess issues like this have been...

Hey guys, one of my friends has a Intel 865 GVHZ mobo, its with integrated graphics controller (Intel Extreme Graphics 2),
can you recommend a good PCI (not PCIe) graphics card for that? As good as for NFS Carbon.

I am looking for a software (not necessarily free) which can just encrypt i.e., scramble files and folders. I want it such that the encrypted files/folders remain where those are not hidden or moved. Is there anything like that?

After uninstalling IE7 Beta 2 and installing IE7 Beta 3, I find the "New Tab" option from the File menu greyed out. Also its not responding with Ctrl+T key. Is that by design or am I missing something? Also theres no right-click menu as "Open in new tab" on any link.
