why not use a free CMS system that include internal search engine?
for lightweight and easily customized CMS:

Again, bottom line is go with what you think that you are comfortable with. If you have been doing Flash for quite sometime, you might want to stick with flash rather than learning a new language from scratch. just my 2 cents

You can use Javascript to achieve auto-load (slideshow-like) effect. The main issue in this example is that this method do use frames which is a big No-No in term of SEO point of view. You can always use these layouts as your base layout design but remember, understanding the code are by far better in a long run.
