I have two sites that really aren't of much value to me anymore and I don't want to pay hosting on them. I can either put them on my current server and incur no additional cost or simply redirect them from godaddy to my primary site. So, my question is two-fold. Which would be the best? And, if I do...

I appreciate that information and printed it out. I'll read it. But for now, I'd just like someone to give me the one or two lines I need to put in the graphics directory to make it forbidden.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Can someone tell me how to make a forbid command in .htaccess for certain folders, such as graphics? Obviously, I want to use the graphics. But I want to make it so it's not a public folder. I know I can put an index page in any folder and pretty much protect it. But I want to keep certain folders f...

I highly recommend CARP. There's a free version and one you pay for. I have the latter. But both are good and do a powerful job. They're very flexible. You can do virtually anything with CARP. When search engines see the pages, all they see is pure content. They don't see rss feeds. There is a bit o...

I have several domains in my main domain. As you know, each domain is just a seperate folder. I put seperate .htaccess files in the folders, or domains. But my question is regarding the main .htaccess file. On an old domain that was well known as it's sub-directory, I added the following to my .htac...

I do not exchange links yet my page rank on all of my sites when down one point today. I have heard that lots of sites lost rank as well. OTOH, I've seen a few that went up. Were these penalties or an adjustment or does anyone actually know? The only thing I did differently is that I'm moving a one-...

Yes, it opens in Firefox but the icon is still a white box and not the association.

I used XP and Firefox. When I click on an html file on my desktop, I get the message that it's not a valid windows32 file. Also, there's no icon on the file. I've tried working in the associations in the control panel but can't fix the problem. Can anyone advise me?

I've noticed many site, Google for one, points .net, .org etc to their main .net site. I assume it is not considered duplicate content or in anyway wrong. But I'm sure there's a "right" way to do it that won't get one into trouble with the SEs.

Does anyone know if using other people's articles on your website can get you banned with G? Also, the same question about other people using my articles on their sites. I know we've done it for years and, to my knowledge, there's been no problem. But I was wondering what the current rules are. Also...

I have a client whose site I believe may be banned by Google. It could be that it's just new though he's had the name a long time. I don't know if he's used it or not. I'm going to find out. But the URL is http://www.businessgrowthsolutions.com If it is indeed banned, what should I advise him to do?...

I'm trying to make some buttons similar to http://www.businessgrowthsolutions.com/test only using CSS. I want to have more buttons and different names. I have some working CSS that's doing what I want except giving me the nice color that is on the above page. The test page is http://www.businessgrow...

That appears to make a list. What I need to do is make a navigation bar like is on the site, using the buttons if possible.
