I was a beginner at Flash a while back and I made some of the dumbest mistakes.... such as useing like 5 fonts using most of the characters in each... not reusing symbols.... and using some of the most redundant coding ever... but after completing every tut. i could find... I have matured as a flash...

unfortunatly... graphics are always a delima with flash... and there is no true way to compress something without loosing quality... ActionScript isnt really that much of a bandwidth hog... unless it is an extremely long and redunant coding that can be shortend to be more efficent... The amount of f...

ahhh... aol that explains it all... try a true hosting server... it will be a great benifit if its not just a personal website... I dont believe you can run scripts on an aol server either... so the gain pop up will most likely always be there... if you want cheap and effective use something like......

Yep Axe.... thats pretty much exactly what i want to do... I am just going to take the min/max longitude/latitudes for the location... calculated by miles versue Lat./Log. Degrees... then compare them to the distributors...

try _root.val(0).... for the scope my be absolute... if not then you must find the instance of the movie clip and point to that... but i must agree with the others that the syntax of val(0) looks more like a function call... it might be a array call too though...
