Yes, pictures are normally good. People feel more pulled into a website with great images, along with great descriptive and easy to use navigation like yours.

Firstly, most of your site takes a very long time to load, must have too many large bandwidth killing images on there....

Next, I agree with the first post, don't use templates. The particular template you have just does not look professional.
