One more question....... I used the code you gave me earlier
Code: [ Select ]
<style> a, a:visited{color:#CC0033;} a{hover:#FF0000;} </style>
but is there a way to make just one of the links a different color (white FFFFFF) while the other ones remain the same

No i didn't get the job because of these forums, I live behind my computer (you can tell by my lack of a tan). It's these little problems that seem to always come up that these forums really help out. there is always someone out there that has the answer. I need to get back into dreamweaver I've bee...

I fixed the problem. But I don't understand why it behaves the way it does. this first code behaves correctly:
Code: [ Select ]
<a href="http://www.address.com%20">www.address.com </a></font>
this one does not:[code]<a href="http://www.addre...

this is an in house freelance gig. I brought in my copy of MX 2004 in case I get absolutly frustrated with 3, but I don't know how cool they are about me doing that (corporate stuff) anyway I've changed the code to the red I want but it still insits on reverting back to this abnoxious purple/blue co...

I'm not that great with html, but when I looked at the code I wasn't sure where the color assignment for the links was located.

Post Posted: May 25th, 2004, 6:21 am

I'm at work and I was asked to design an email blast. The only version of dreamweaver they have here is version 3, I'd do it at home but I don't get paid for that. When I set up the page properties I initialy assigned the links to be blue, they decided to change the color scheme to red. When I chang...

one more thing (I hope). I've put the movie on the stage but it plays automatically. Is there an action that I can place on the MC that will pause it until the viewer rolls over the button? here's exactly what I'm doing. I'm placing hidden buttons on a piece of artwork that I've made (interactive ar...

whats the actionscript I would type for the "over" action? I couldn't find the script needed in the books I have.

Post Posted: March 17th, 2004, 12:17 am

I'm trying to create a button that plays a movie in the over position. that I've done, but when the mouse moves away the movie stops. I need it to keep playing. this button is for motion design purposes only and doesn't link the user to anything thats why I just want the movie to function in the ove...

you've got to represent the three stripes.

thanks. I was using tweens for a piece of motion art I was doing. but after a minute or two you could see that it wasn't quite on beat. I check the tutorial though. thanks again.

your right. I just opened the file I made in illustrator in freehand and changed the colors there before I imported it into flash. it's a pain but problem solved. I wish i could do all things I'm doing in illustrator in freehand. just don't have the time to sit down and learn all the details of anot...

quick update....freehand maintains color in flash...except when I took an image in illustrator and draged it into freehand, color still good. dragged that same image from freehand to flash and color changed.

I guess I can use freehand for now but I'm still a slave to illustrator.

I need to be able to have people visiting my site download my DJ sets. I want to have a button that you press and it automatically prompt the user that a file is or will be downloaded. I didn't see anything in the tutorials that explained how to do this (or I may have over looked it). any help would...

do you know a way to center an image in the pop up I've created? I'm not looking to center the pop up on the screen, just the image within the pop up window. I hope I explained that properly.

this isn't a big deal I'm just picky when it comes to stuff like that.

Post Posted: February 5th, 2004, 6:05 pm

dumb mistake in setting up the code in html. I checked out your site (unflux). Looks Great. Is this the method you used to show your portfolio. That's essentially what I'm looking to do. press a button and have static images and motion graphic examples pop up in a new window

Post Posted: February 5th, 2004, 4:52 pm

i think I've figured it out. thanks again for all your help. No B.S. out of all the forums i've gone to this the quickest and most helpful. I'll definetly recommend it.
