download cpuz and post a screenshot of the first page of its results, thne we can see what youre running so we could tell you what you can upgrade, also what OS are you using? 32 or 64 bit, cuz remember 32 bit wont let u use all your ram if its 4gb or more... alot of things to consider.. i have that...

it says AM2+, but my mobo says AM2(940)

it has the same amount of pins, but i dont know about the extra + in there...

im running an asus IVY8 AM2 mobo (compaq factory mobo, boo!). i am looking to upgrade processor from amd 64 to something faster. i have been looking at the phenom2black line, but it says that its an AM2+. its got the same number of pins i believe (940?) but im still not sure if itll work. im looking...

thank you very much... i wasnt aware of the AMD project. that would be interesting to see what it would do to their other cpus prices... like the black.

its taking minutes to open programs that used to take seconds, vid files glitch and get pixelated often, and windows explorer has crashed twice today. the only thng ive changed was a patch for Warhammer and a patch for World of Warcraft, and my girlfriend installed sims 2 but i dont think those are ...
