I've got 2 Western Digital SATA 200GB hard drives on my computer. When I used to rip DVD's (using DVD decrypter), no matter which harddrive I saved my ISO to, the speed (read rate) would be the same. Nowadays, the 2nd hard drive (on Sata channel 2) is transferring slower. Read rates are only half or...

Hey guys, Just wondering why I need to turn my computer on twice, sometimes three times for it to boot up successfully? When I turn it on the first time, nothing comes on screen and I don't hear the single beep (successful boot). So I switch off the PC (hold the power button for 3 seconds), then swi...

Yeh it does have SP2.

It is because I have to format the harddrive for it to appear in 'My Computer?'

Post Posted: March 25th, 2006, 7:21 am

Btw, it does come up in Device Manager in control panel. I guess Windows recognizes it but it doesn't show up in My computer.

Post Posted: December 10th, 2005, 8:29 pm

I know how to remove the CPU... thanks anyways.

I've already cleared the cmos. (read first post).

Post Posted: December 10th, 2005, 6:13 am

Removing the cpu... hmmmm are you sure? I don't think it's come loose or anything because those things are clamped down so tight.

or you could download zone alarm (the free version) and that also stops those pop ups as zone alarm blocks those certain ports.

Post Posted: January 4th, 2005, 7:22 pm

Only your computer would be affected... that's what i would think anyway since each computer would have a seperate installation of an operating system and i.e.

It would be traceable... an admin can easily find out which user made the installation.

I think nero isn't burning ur cd's because u didn't check the 'Write' box in the 'burn' tab section. Play around with the settings, it's got to be there somewhere. Otherwise upgrade to the latest version of nero. Does it matter if Nero recognizes whether the media is + or - ? Does nero burn ur dvd's?

Ok, if your DVD is copyrighted...Nero deffientaly cannot handle that. It doesn't bypass the copyright protection on DVD discs. In your case, i don't think your DVD disc is copyrighted since you were able to make an image of it...right? Just not able to burn it. So if you ever come across a copyright...

Ok, first of all... have you chosen the right recorder? To make sure, go into recorder in the menu and select 'choose recorder' (Crtl+R). To make sure you've chosen the right one (which is the DVD burner), click eject. If your CD-burner is the one ejecting, then there is certainly something wrong. S...

Isn't there an option somewhere in nero that allows you to select the source drive and the destination one? What happens if you unplug the cd burner physically from the ide cable? Maybe even try burning with some other progs? Or even update your current version of Nero. As i know the first version h...

Looks like the idea of upgrading to the latest Kazaa worked. I installed version 2.0.2 which i had on a backup CD and would have thought Kazaa tell me that there'd be a newer version available for dl. Didn't realise i was using an older version.

Appreciate the replies... fixed the prob. =]
