I like playing with some of the SVG/animation/canvas/etc demos they've got there, though, I'm using Opera to play with them because I'm afraid to touch the MSIE9 preview. Did the same thing, but with Safari. I've given up all hope on IE, and now give those users well watered down versions of my sit...

Well, if CA-SA can use settings on his bleeding edge prototype camera loaned out by R&D, then I don't see what's wrong with a little "hue". I didn't use any hue on this tho, just contrast and and some "sharpen" (Oyster Bay Lagoon, Long Island): 8) I only wish it were bleedin...

Regarding your entries alex89, i think mainly because you have used photoshop to adjust the tones and the photograph was not submitted as it was i'd be inclined to exclude that entry. However, just moments before seeing your entry i was thinking to myself that if i was CA/SA i would have played abo...

Ohhh... I'll be right back!

* CA-SA runs up to second floor, grabs camera, runs down stairs to main floor and outside, walks back in with a picture taken, and then falls down the stairs to his computer in the basement

Man I wish I had the chance to go to the beach and get some shots. God I miss it. All my beach photos are on old film photos (buried in a closet somewhere), nothing current, and not going to see the ocean anytime soon *pout*. I definitely agree with you... stuck here inland, only have film photos o...

If there's anything natural about it, wouldn't it not be out of place ? :scratchhead:

Joebert, try picturing a green tree in a desert... that would be naturally out of place. Example

AHHH!! Mixed messages... I'm becoming dazed and confused.

I think he means there's another scene we can watch, we just have to figure out how to initiate it... I figured and spent about 10 minutes yesterday clicking, dragging, typing and everything else I could think of and couldn't get it :( You have to download it (won't do it in browser), stop it from ...

As easy as it gets... There's also a hidden "Scene 2" if you want to try to get to it (I forgot how to make links). :)

Well, here's nothing:

AHHHH!!! I have only 5 images on mine and it's 550x550, but no matter what i do to shorten/compress it, it still comes out to 658 KB.

Photo manipulation, anyone? :)

Post Posted: August 7th, 2008, 11:32 pm

It can be argued either way... I'd say that it is a subject that a debate would go nowhere with. Here are the definitions: Shadow - A dark image projected onto a surface where light is blocked by the shade of an object; relative darkness, especially as caused by the interruption of light; gloom, obs...

I may submit an entry for this competition, but I doubt it will be soon. I am working on 2 websites at the moment, one of which requires a lot of integrating scripts and adding tons of functionality

I mean that there is more padding below each link than above.

The site is great... I can only suggest a few minor tweaks: vertically center the links on the right in their boxes, make the tabs a little more non-javascript user friendly ( YUI TabView will help), and maybe make the links on top a little more prominent on which is highlighted. Other than that, I'...

same... I could easily do a MC Escher type of pattern... but I don't enjoy those all that much.

Unfortunately, I no longer have a camera. So, I can't take pictures of my new surroundings, but here is one I took previously:

Design Site: The overall design is well put together. there are a couple errors with alignment, mainly the bottom center is too high on most of the pages. Also, the FAQ page is wide. It would be better off if it were long in my honest opinion (this would probably also fix the top being off-center on...

In Opera and Firefox (as much as I have checked), the right border of the content section on the home page is not aligned with neither the top, nor the bottom.

Not bad, the design is nice. But like Fabinator said, it's not very user-friendly in copying the image URIs for use in chat clients.

Also, the Features page is missing, so I couldn't tell if there is a spot where one can view all of the images from a certain user in particular.

That's a good question, does a silhouette qualify as a shadow?

You could always download one of Adobe's trial versions and play around with it. You might learn enough to get a logo out of it in the 30 days they give you. 8)

Where is MC Escher when you need him?

Post Posted: July 15th, 2008, 2:28 pm

That was extremely fun, and to think I voted for r_t, though now it doesn't matter who I voted for...

Spork: so is mine
