I know this is an older post but that's not true. Most of your pages will be removed, but not all. I know from experience ;)

I would like to know if getting listed in Yahoo Directory will increase pagerank or just generate more traffic? If you read Google's own Webmaster Guidelines, they actually mention the Yahoo directory as a good inlink. It does not help your ranking in Yahoo though, like someone in this thread sugge...

I noticed the hackrsafe.com website's rank dropped to 4. They used to be a seven? Imagine that? I was going to sign up just for their link

I'm actually getting nervous with hyphens. I have one hyphen in my domain. I also have friendly url's so when a page is click there could be up to 5 or 6 hyphens in the domain. One thing that is not a factor, Google. I'm doing very well. I read on another forum that Yahoo hates Hyphens. But...think ...

I think it's free if you have less than 500 url's. This program took me right out of the supplemental results. ...

That aside, I do not believe massive linking in directories is necessary, a little bit is needed though! Especially Dmoz, and yahoo directory, which of course are the hardest to get into! I agree how hard it is to get into DMOZ lately, but Yahoo is easy. You just pay their annual extortion fee of 3...

I went to a Yahoo SEO Seminar last year in Boston. One of the things the woman stressed was that it takes 4 months for pay per clicks to catch up to you. I thought she was insane. A company I worked for had just went live so sure enough in 4 months we saw a spike in conversions. There's an old brand...

Is your site new? I think Yahoo has a more intense Sandbox for new domain names. My domain is new, but I bought it for 10 years and Google loved me for it. I can wait for the next pagerank update!

When they did the change in January I went to a 1. I'm hoping for at least a 4 now.

Yeah, but the directory is 300.00 a year! I think it's criminal, but I joined. Yahoo was the last serp to deep crawl my new site, and I thinks it's because I uploaded a sitemap to them, then bang!

"Inbound links can hurt if they are from what Google considers a "bad neighborhood". That is not true! If you read Google's own words, they know you cannot control who links to your website. If that was the case, we could all put our competition out of business by putting them in blac...

I found the best way to take digital pictures of products is with the good old sunshine. I bought one of those "ebox" studios. What a waste of money that was. If you look at my business cards (and enlarge) you will see the grain of the paper. I realize I have to redo all of them (because I...
