webcosmo, I don't mind the color scheme. In fact I think its rather calming which is nice. I would like to see a little more white space though. There is a lot of stuff going on everywhere. Maybe that just means more padding and spacing. The structure on the post pages with the users info taking up...

If you have good content on the blog, it would certainly help. I use blog to support sites usually posting related articles and that helps pull in some traffic.
Best part is it will help your main website with SEO.

Lot of questions all together:) Take it one by one and learn stuffs on them.
First thing is you gotta do on-page and off-page SEO to get better ranking on search engines. That involves building links.
AdSense bots takes some time to figure the content type. Lot of times its not related.

MSN takes lot of time indexing, sending traffic. Only time I seen some traffic is adding lot of pages with long tail keywords.

name does mean a lot. .coms are universally appealing to everybody. That does have a price. Let say you have a site .net, and somebody else have .com with same name. You will loose a big chunk of your visitors to them. If they have similar business you are dead. At the end its your responsibility to...

On my stat software I can tell because there is a huge rise on hits then normal. Which happened early this month. But PR didnt change. I hear google changing their algorithm, that may cause it being late.

free directories generally takes few weeks to 3 months to review your submission.

static sites get indexed more easily. sometimes you dont have a choice but getting dynamic sites.
