I use Opera, and I never get highjacked. On the very few occasions I have to use IE it has been highjacked several times. I have CWShedder and that little program is a whiz at sorting things out. And free too.

Your HP may be ok for a while, if you have system restore disks to set your PC back to the way it was when it left the factory, keep them very safe - because you'll probably be using them in a few months Done that already!!
