I notice that when I come back from the Standby mode it shows the same screen as when I lock the computer(Winkey + L(lowerca...

Time to bail out the Earth.
Time to have truly responsible, honest, efficient, effective recycling.

"What do you think, money grows on trees?" should be rewritten to: "Who do you think you are, the federal reserve?" Interestingly enough, some origins of money were as a representation of debt...perhaps, like our languages, our understanding of value is skewed, and inherently not...

update: I've incorporated a fortnight schedule. I post 14 rectangles on my wall and can add sheets to them to renew the fortnight(2 weeks). When I have written stuff in an ongoing list it worked well for some time but once I got out of that routine I have the clutter of so many notes on too many pap...

What are you planning to use the headset for? Does it need to be wireless? Would bluetooth be best for this? There are other wireless techs that use electromagnetic vibrations... Would you use it on a standard audio out jack on consumer brand electronics: tape player, CD player, stereo, TV, and comp...

Using a LiveCD of Ubuntu version 8.04.1 desktop i386, I chose to install on a Toshiba Satellite A135-S4677 which came with Vista. I chose the second option to install within Windows. When that was complete and Ubuntu was up and running I tried exploring a bit as I am new to Linux's. Firefox opened u...

Another thought which comes to mind is the idea of "hot swapping" hard drives. Especially if a resilient Solid State hard drive could be used (or is it solid state optical drive???[Edit: never mind this confusion]). Anyway, if you run your OS and peripherals on the computer system/stations...

Floppy diskettes? They are not large enough with the continuous transfer. If I could, I would prefer the USB "flash" drives. I have some 8GB ones that I could use as backup if need be. At the same time they would allow massive transfer loads...albeit slowly done. I have one computer I need...

Yeah: Merlyn: "I think an easy solution would be to purchase both domains and have one redirect to the other that way you can stick with one whether it's 'center' or 'centre' and still get visitors that may distinguish between the two URLs." What about meta tags for synonymous words with d...
