Soemtimes when i get home from work i will look at my modem and the red lights are flashing just as they do when i am downloading something. I leave all programs off and computer is running when I am gone. Is there anyway to tell if something is downloading or uploading on its own?

Personal antivirus" keeps popping up on my screen and blocking any attempt to go on any website. A red screen pops up and tells me to purhcase this software. I ran Avast and it dosn't seem to catch anything.How do i get rid of?

I have a freind that has a Dell with XP, last night it would not boot up and the meassage "Windows could not start, file missing <Windows Root>-system 32\ntoskrnl.exe Please reinstall File" How can he reinstall it when the recovery disk he received with the computer won't even boot up?

Yes it works, it shut off the monitor but still nothing on TV. I will have to study the TV manual and make sure i have it set correctly.

On my T23 IBM laptop, there is a plug that looks like an S video plug. Is it in fact an S video plug? I plugged it into my TV and nothing happened.

My IBM Thinkpad 770X laptop was freezing up. Running Windows 2000. Was working good for about 10 weeks, now it won't start. It gets to a pale blue screen showing a couple of codes, and has start or cancel. I hit start and it goes to another blue screen that has a O ) I . How do I get past this?

Can't hook up to internet after installing new hard drive in laptop. Windows XP, wireless network on laptop says i am connected with good strength.When i open explorer it says, The page cannot be displayed. Please try the following ,hit refresh and so on. What am I missing.
