My problem is RUN, REGEDIT and TASKMANAGER opens and closes immediately. THe same thing happens when I click the WINDOWS folder, but I can expand the folder when I click the + button. When I turn on the power on my desktop, nothing happens. Other observations: THe HD light does not light up or flicker. THe screen is dark. Missing icon and lost connection. In devmgr, the status of my network adapter (old intel pro/100 cardbus) is: "This device cannot start (Code 10).
I tried unistalling/reinstalling and updated the driver from the Intel CD. Rebooted but Im still getting the error code 10.

I dont see my LAN icon in my laptop's "Network & Dialup Connections" folder. How do I get it back? I dont know what caused it to disappear. I clicked "Making New Connection" icon to create a new Lan connection but there's nothing there that will allow me to create one. Please...

Any of you have had this problem? My firefox 1.5.0.7 couldnt connect to any website. My IE browser works.

I see several Project1 and RUNDLL popping up on Windows Task Manager list. I also get a popup -> w0023f79.dll missing or something to that effect. Yes I was caught off guard surfing without my anti-virus enable.d I may have unknowingly disabled it. :oops: Anyways, here's my HJT log if anyone care...

i have many files totalling 1gig to upload to a web server. that's gonna be a long upload 1 file after another. is there a better way like compressing files on my computer then uncompressing them on the server
