When will microsoft learn to create something new instead of just doing what everyone else is already doing? lotus notes -> ms word apple ipod -> ms zune sony ps2 -> ms xbox adobe flash -> ms sliverlight yahoo mail -> ms hotmail google -> ms bling anyone else seeing a pattern here...

PR is for Google. Yahoo doesn't have any such think. For Yahoo, its the backlinks that gets more importance.

I believe Social Media Sites give lots of back links and traffic. So one can concentrate on social media sites based on their geographical locations.

Nice bit of info from everyone. I believe one can start of with these procedures as basic SEO. In due course automatically the website will do good in search engines.

My clients are satisfied with Yahoo Answers. They are getting a lot of traffic from it. :-)

To me public sitemap is essential.
