- article submissions
- blog commenting
- book marking
- classified ads
- directory submissions
- forum posting
- link exchange
- press release
- online groups

Participating on forums just like what you are doing now help generate traffic on your site.. Aside from the strategies you have mentioned, you could also participate in links exchange and press release.. These way, you'll get higher chances of getting traffic..

In order to get higher rankings in google, you need to get tons of back links.. Quality of back links I should say.. And talking of back links, it means relevancy..
