Hrmm, not that I know of. Do you not have access to a mysql database or something? I would recommend making it there just because it would be 10000 times easier. hi b, i've decided what i need to do is make all the static information into XML documents and then parse them with PHP into arrays when ...

I'm not 100% on this, but i think it has something to do with the HTTP_REFERER environment variable. That will be able to tell you if your page was accessed with a bookmark. To determine unique vistors that have a bookmark set, could you set up a cookie? Only unique bookmarked hits would increment t...

Look here for help: http://www.php.net/manual/en/language.types.array.php I suppose now that I think of it a normal array would work aswell, just lookover that page. Thanks b, appreciate the input... do i have to destroy the ar...

Hi guys, I'm using PHP/MySQL, and was wondering what the best way to do lookups with static tables would be. This would mean looking up values from tables that don't change, unlike database information which might change frequently. Can you put a bunch of static tables in a PHP array or something? I...

Yes, after I realized that I had to escape all the brackets, etc., I just pasted it in Dreamweaver and it worked like a charm. It's one of those things I've never had to do before so I never really thought about it. Now I'm wondering if there's a parser out there that can format PHP code into...

K, the solution... edit the code and replace all "<" brackets with "&(lessthan);" and ">" with "&(greaterthan);"

Note:
(lessthan) is just lt and (greaterthan) is just gt... this text box won't let me display them together. i.e. & + lt + ;

D'OH!

As I put all my test PHP scripts on the server, I thought it would be a good idea to show the actual code in preformatted or code markup... however, I'm not sure how to do this, because when I add the markup tags to the document, it just tries to execute the PHP code. So how would I echo the code on...

Do you want to post your CSS code with the HTML part? Your CSS might be overriding your selector class depending on how it's setup.

I have about a trillion bookmarks on starting with CSS... so I'll share some with you here. I've only just begun my own personal journey into the depths of CSS so I'm not a complete expert but I've just started redoing my webpages to be tableless. A good place to start: http://www.thenoodlei...

The best way with CSS is to create a class or ID that does what you want it to do and then use block or inline markup with DIV or SPAN. i.e. <span class="nohover">Whatever</span> or <div class="nohover">Whatever</div> etc. The whole point of CSS is to be able to assign any st...

No, it made lots of sense. Thank you for making such a lenghy reply to my question. There are also some things I prefer Macs for and some things I prefer Windows for. For one thing, I am an avid gamer, so that really hurts me if I go with a Mac. But for Mac's, I like to use their video editing soft...

So, i take it you don't even like OS X? Oh man, what delicious bait you've thrown me... OS X, OS X... well, like I said, having used Macs all my life, like, all the time, I have to say that there was a time that I, as well as others, was getting a bit tired of System 7, which is really what OS 9 is...

Ah, I see. Just have the PHP write the CSS styles in if no variable is passed and should one be passed, then don't write them in. [/tanx!]

As Monty Burns would say...

...excellent...

Hello  My name is Johnny. I'm 33. As of this writing I'm an American living in New Zealand for the past two years. It's a beautiful country, but it's also the most isolated country in the world. This has made it difficult for me to find work in my profession (advertising design). :( I'm curren...

I've been trying to figure out how to disable CSS is done, as in this website: http://www.squidfingers.com When you click on the link it disables CSS. The link itself is "?css=none" which leads me to believe it's a script, but i can't find any common PHP scripts on google. Any help or id...

Best practice method for saving masks: Select your mask and save it in a channel. When you become more familiar with Photoshop, you will come to understand that some of the special effects and features of Photoshop are accessable only through saved channels.
