I have created a user management system around my existing scripts and added permissions, i can now track the actions of the users directly in the script.

I would still like to see if it is possible but at this point, i found a way around it.

i was using $hostname = gethostname();

but then worked out that it was getting the servers hostname and not the client, but i am working on a corporate network with a proxy.

this site is an internal network reporting site for an entire floor of people so security is not a huge issue as it is an local environment.

I never seen PDO.... shall look into it.

that is a step closer, going to play with that but not quite the finial result that i require for the project. Just took a snippet of a html table(attached file) which would be the perfect result. i am going to work it out this weekend but just don't understand why it is not doing what it should be....
