Rather than use a Sharpie, why not use a water solulable marker. It should cloud the copyright enough to bypass it. And if by chance that doesn't work, you can wash it off....

in httpd.conf you can just add this line for the certain directory and then put the new url (no need to use htaccess):

Redirect old-URL to new-URL
