I almost cried when I read the news on BBC's website. I figure the only way he became "Person of the Year" is because he screwed up so much, admitted that things did not go the way he planned, and still won the election. He must be some sort of magician. A stupid one. That skill may be his only asset.

Reason: Idiot Consumers Lol, exactly. Coca cola recently tried to sell thier bottled water over here, but then we found out that they bought the water from the same company that puts water in our taps (thames water). Coca cola claimed thier HIGH price of the water was down to the special treatment ...

In my area there isn't a whole lot of violent crime (I live in the wealthiest county in the state). Strangely though, I've been seeing a lot of arson reports on the news lately.

Yeah, heed the warning. I love canned air. In fact I have a can of it sitting on my desk. At all times. It works so well. I wouldn't be surprised if it could cure cancer. :)

Well, my list is too expansive to fit in a single post, so I have it posted on my website.

First of all, I'm not going to pretend to be some sort of professional audiophile. I began my sabbatical for headphone nirvana a few months ago, right after my pair of Philips headphones broke. But I wans't going to be content with normal or mediocre audio. I wanted the best I could afford. So far t...

but what gives US the right to act as the police-nation of the world? how is this OUR business? America needs to stop imposing our views on others, and instead we should concentrate on our own country. they never attacked us, so why would we attack them? you don't see France, England, Australia, Ja...

Has anyone noticed the lag on Mozilla's site? It takes at least 20 seconds to load a page. Is this just because their servers are swamped, or is Firefox 1.0 slow at downloading data over an encrypeted page. Even so, I'm really enjoying Firefox for the first time. It was well worth a half an hour of ...

Maybe it's time to upgrade? :P It probably is, but that would require money. Which I'm very short of. I think I'll just try Suse 9.1. No DVD's required. Besides, I've got three DVD players in the house (including the PS2). But you're right Tom, upgrading would be nice. I actually bought this comput...

Yes, school food is disgusting. I sometimes spend hours wondering how the FDA decided that the food they send to schools is healthy. I have sworn of school lunch. Some of my friends ask me why I don't buy the lunch from school. Simple, I don't like the taste of dog food.:iconpuker: By the way, did a...

Go to Start, Settings, and Add New Hardware. If the sound card is a PnP device, Windows should automatically detect it. If not, you can manually install the drivers off the disc (assuming you bought it retail). By the way what brand of soundcard is it? I've got a Philips PSC706 Acoustic Edge. Hope t...

Thanks. By the way, I know libdvdcss is an illegal method to decode encrypted DVDs (in the US at least). What are the legal options to read encrypted DVDs in Linux?

I've also got Logitech speakers, Skirge. Logitech Z-640's (5.1 sound). They aren't as nice as yours, but they do the trick.

I'm considering on switching to Suse Linux 9.2 (being released early Nov.) My only concern is that some of the drivers included with the package are on a DVD. At the moment, I don't have a DVD drive. The problem I have is that most of the specs I've read for DVD drives say that they require a P3 pro...
