Hi Daniel, Congratulations, this is a huge improval! These new navigation icons are really cute, well ordered and meaningfully named. There are still some issues that could be improved, however, and please don´t get me wrong, I don´t want to be overly picky, but just giving some hints to make your s...

The pictures on top are really cool, you should definitely keep them just as they are, even though you could safely reduce their size from 55k to at least 15k without much degradation in order to speed up navigation. The lower part of all pages need some rework in my opinion. First of all, why not r...

Hey, this looks much more professional now!!
Cautiously animating the bullets is also a useability improvement.
Good look with your site!

I agree that the page design is above average. But even a good site can be made better, so here are some suggestions: 1.) I tried to validate one random page with validator.w3.org/check and it showed 15 errors. If I were a potential customer of your webdesign company (which claims to obey "...web ac...

I would try to make the website layouts more consistent. Some pages contain the webserver statistics, others don´t , which also causes the newsflash box to unnecessarily change its position. A newsbox should get the most prominent position available anyway, wheras web statistics is not that importan...

ajatwood, I fully agree that useability should never be just an afterthought to design. Just out of curiosity (and without being really convinced) I tried out your suggestion of left-justifying the central column yesterday and was quite surprised to find out that it does indeed look much better. It´...

Spontaneous rebooting is often caused by faulty, mismatched, or simply the wrong type of memory for your motherboard. Get yourself another pair of known good memory, make a bios reset to "safe" values, take off all add-in cards and harddisks, then boot from a dos disk (or one of Bart´s wonderful XP ...

Not too bad to start out, but some suggestions: - I would never ever mix serif and serifless fonts. Doing so leaves a careless impression. - Also, you have three blocks of credit card and paypal icons dominating your front page. This is like shouting "PAY!!!!!" Not really a good strategy to attract ...

Hi, for my taste the new logo looks somewhat smudgy, because there is too much shadow and too little contrast between the green "Gandalf" and the yellow background. Also, a logo should have that specific unique feel, that helps to remember it visually. In this respect, your first logo was better. Lo...

Keep these green colors. The decent but effective use of different shades of green for columns is great, also the combination of greenish-yellow with green and the constraint on two colors only. I would also recommend to completely replace the navigation and logo, however. Especially: never mix seri...

Buster, Let´s calm down, O.K.? I said "They did a good job", and that includes you and all of your collegue editors who have spent much of their time working on the project. >Who said the ODP was a democracy? dmoz.org states in it´s "About" Page: "It is constructed and maintained by a vast, globa...

They did a good job, they are highly successful and it is a fine example of true internet democracy - but only at first sight. Democracy is about broad and easy public participation (perfect with DMOZ), transperency (lacking) and mechanisms against abuse of power (inappropriate). Unless they come up...
