Maybe it would be a good idea to not send the email notification if the user (Recipient) is logged in to OZZU?

Why Bogey?

Actually, I rarely get notified if I am already in Ozzu. I remember I used to get hyper lol because people answered/added to my subscriptions and it was'nt till I left Ozzu I got notified.

A good script is on SMF where if you begin posting to your subcribed thread *after someone else posted then a popup warning popped up to say 'you should know someone has added a reply' or words to that effect.

I always get notified if I'm on Ozzu and I get a PM. Then when I check my mail there is like 10 emails from ozzu that I received from the time I was on Ozzu.

The problem with that is how do we determine you are online? Let say you have been online in the last 5 minutes and you are supposed to get notified of a new post to a thread. Lets say really though you do not plan to come back hours later in the day. You would have just missed that notification if we determined that you were actually online.

I think that would be way to complicated to implement and it would end up being buggy.

Your best solution would be to change your options on ozzu so that you do not get any email notifications anymore.

Thats right. If your writing and inbetween you have a pm waiting then when you finish writing and post your post then yes, the page triggers the pm system to let you know you have a pm waiting.

Oh right Bogey,

I get an e-mail to say I have a pm waiting, there is no other way they can do that is there? As BWM said it would be too complicated to develope.

All boards are the same way how they notify of a pm Bogey.
