due to the large numbers of people in Ozzu that either cannot or chose not to spell I would recommend putting in a spell checker, yes there is one in the "post reply" section, but if you are just typing a quick reply (as most of mine are) then there is no spell checker available to you.

There already is a spell checker and has been for as long as I've been here. When you hit "Post Reply" you will see it where the submit & preview button is.

He's talking about one for the Quick Reply box. I think that if anyone is too lazy to hit the 'Post Reply' button to add a response, they would also be too lazy to hit a spell checking button for the Quick Reply.

I wouldn't be, I just don't open the post reply because there is no point, and I have to wait for it to load, just a thought

Having preview/spell check on the quick reply could help. Ok, so the point of quick reply is just type & submit, but sometimes it's just quicker to scroll down and start typing while you can still easily see everything on the screen..

A lot of times I'll type in the quick reply so that I can easily scroll up & down to view what's been said on the thread, and then when I'm about done, select all, copy, "Post Reply", paste & preview.

Would be easier of there were at least a "Preview" button at the bottom, along with the "Quick Reply" button.

personally i think it's lazy to let yourself think that 1 extra click
into the normal "Post Reply" section to type your post is too much.

Quick reply should be used for that -- quick replies. 1-3 sentences.

If your spelling is that bad, then you should exercise your
mouse finger into being more in shape to handle that 1 extra
click.

Not to mention the hours of work it would take somebody to write the program to incorporate a spellcheck in the quick reply, since there isn't one written yet for it.

Sheez...buy a dictionary.

Yeah, spell check would be a pain in the butt to implement, but the preview button would be nice :)

I see Unflux's point, and I agree to a degree, but it is so much easier to type while you can easily scroll up n' down to see posts (much easier than trying to navigate the post history in an iframe).

i guess *shrug*

people are just spoiled and greedy.

want want want -- can't we all just be happy with how ozzu
is?? why don't we just write a mod to type it all out FOR YOU?!
that would be the ultimate, though i'm sure some complaints
and suggestions on how to make it better would surface right
away.

lol... Yeah, a mod to type it out for us... that's an idea ;)

You know, I'm still waiting for them to develop the psychic PC link, and "virtual sex" USB device... at least with virtual sex, you wouldn't mind if windows went down on you ;)

I think the whole purpose of quick reply is exactly that. In my book it doesn't need tweaked.
