 Seems your nagging paid off.

My initial thought: too much medium grey - would prefer tone a little lighter. But well done. :)

Looks nice. Got a clean look to it.. If anything i would say the Useful Resources menu on the right could do with being a bit thinner.

this is much better. the top banner seems alittle out of place and it clashes a bit, but overall the new theme is ftw.

k, when you look at the polls in firefox [both 1.5 and 2.0 beta]
they look like this image is too big to post here
but theyre fine in internet explorer.
read it!

Visually I much prefer SmartDark, though programmatically the new theme rocks.

Will darker versions of the new theme via css be available in the future? I'd be interested in seeing the new theme with SmartDark coloring.

For now I'll stick with the original, but great work BigWeb.

Yay! The button!

And it works!

There are a lot of spacing issues with this new theme, though.

remember in smartDark how there were "levels and sub-levels" that represented the forums and sub-forums you were in. i miss those links. they were quite useful and better than pressing "home" every time i wanna get back the the main page with all the sub-forums.

Yes, I'd have to agree.

I've been giving the light theme a further try out. It's growing on me, albeit slowly.

One thing I'd also suggest, would be to have the forum listing in the right navigation, to mirror the structure of the homepage forum listings. It's quite difficult determining where each forum is.

For example, have
[GENERAL TOPICS]
General Discussion
Announcements and Rules

[Wesbite Design & Development]
Wesbsite Design Forum
...etc...

Right now General Discussion is half-way down the right navigation, it would be so much easier to use the right navigation if it matched the actual forum structrure.

When i came to ozzu (with the new design)
I thought the CSS wasn't loading.
Then I noticed certain features which require CSS.
Confused, till I saw this post
I personally dont like the new design, I think it is cos I am used to the old black one. (I aint a lover of change)
GIve me a week or so, and I will probs like it.

Soz, cant find the edit button?

After looking at the 2, A couple of thinks I think should be added to light, from the darker version

On the darker version, i can tell at a glance for new posts, I think it is to do with the text color or something

Also with the list view, its quicker to find posts with 0 replies (if I am busy, I tend to glance for 0 replies to see if I can help them)

And the Whos Watching at the top of the forum.
This is handy if I need a question answered, I keep an eye on there.

And also when I am waiting for replies, I can check the number read, at a glance

See its not just the deisgn thats changed, its funcions as well
