I did as well, however I believe Bigwebmaster was doing some tweaking at that time. That was probably the cause.

Well I know that there was a release of an upgrade for phpbb yesterday, and today there was a oops re-release of the upgrade this morning. I was guessing that there may have been a correlation.

There was some dowtime yesterday morning around that time. I am estimated it was down for about one hour. It was actually not because of me, I did get things back running though :)

I have had major problems accessing Ozzu most days for the last month or so. It is at its worst during the morning and early afternoon (UK time).

If I do manage to access the site it is often slow and unresponsive - often gving page can't be displayed errors .... timeouts.

When America wakes up the problem is a 99% non existant.

Any ideas as to what that may be about?

From what Bigweb has told me, it's not any one single thing, but a combination of things. He's already made efforts this week to correct some things and tweak others. I've already noticed significant improvement over the last couple days. He's definitely on it though. We appreciate your patience. Just hang in there. It will improve.

Well, at last after 4 or 5 hours I am able to post again.

For a while I was getting this msg:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Too many connections in /home/ozzu/public_html/db/mysql4.php on line 48 Sorry, we are currently experiencing difficulties with high server load. Please try again by pressing the refresh button in your browser or cross your fingers and try again later.. This error occures usually when there is high load but also when maintaince to the database is done (such as backing up the database) Thank you, Staff

At least that is telling me something instead of just refusing to do anything.

Interesting. I wonder if Bigweb just simply has to up the number of allowed concurrent connections. Wouldn't that just be too easy *lol

Thanks everyone for being so patient on this. I believe I tracked down and fixed one of the major problems putting the huge load on the server. Speed should be improved now. If you are noticing any issues please do not hesistate to PM me or post here.

Hi Cowkiller,

Did it last for very long this morning compared to the other mornings? I am still getting some slow queries showing up that i need to work on, but it still should be much better compared to last week.
