The 404 page is custom yes. I think the redirects are happening because of a removed ad.

Are you still getting the random redirects? I haven't had any, hopefully if you clear your cache that should resolve it.

Anybody else having this problem?

Been having it since thanksgiving. It even happens when I go to view a reported post, or approve a post, but not limited to that.

FYI I'm still getting this, and it's not on just one computer. It's all of mine. And it even happens randomly when I go to approve a post. It redirects to this page eyeblaster/addineyeV2.html and I get the ozzu 404 custom error.

//it even happened when I went to edit this post to correct a typo.

And after editing that last post, it tried to redirect me to:

doubleclick/DARTIframe.html?gtVersion=200_16&mediaserver=http%3A%2F%2Fs0.2mdn.net%2F879366&xpc={%22cn%22%3A%22peerIframe1353085817967%22%2C%22tp%22%3Anull%2C%22osh%22%3Anull%2C%22pru%22%3A%22http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ozzu.com%2Fdoubleclick%2FDARTIframe.html%3FgtVersion%3Drelay_200_16%26mediaserver%3Dhttp%3A%2F%2Fs0.2mdn.net%2F879366%22%2C%22ppu%22%3A%22http%3A%2F%2Fad.doubleclick.net%2Frobots.txt%22%2C%22lpu%22%3A%22http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ozzu.com%2Frobots.txt%22} which also 404'd

My only thought is that in the source for Ozzu I am using:

HTML Code: [ Select ]
<base href="http://www.ozzu.com/">

Which was a work-around for some other issues on Ozzu. This won't likely be removed until the new version of Ozzu comes out.

My guess is that one of the ads is using a relative path when they should be using a absolute path, but not exactly sure what ad is causing that and what position the ad is in.

The cause should be some ad that is looking for something on: eyeblaster/addineyeV2.html

None of the ads should be looking for anything on Ozzu, and I don't control what ads are displayed, they are simply Google Adsense. If I knew what domain the ad was for I could block that domain in the ad center to prevent it from showing up, that would be the only thing I could think of to fix that.

Right before it does that do you see any ads for some sort of eyeblaster? Did the ad actual ever load, or did it just redirect?

Just redirects, and it's on the private sector of OZZU as well. As noted I get the redirects when trying to approve posts as well as editing posts.

edit //
I'm getting the same thing on three different computers so it's not a cached thing...

First place to look is where it redirects. What is supposed to be here? --

Nothing is supposed to be there, I am thinking it is really supposed to be:

Quote:
http://www.someadserver.com/eyeblaster/addineyeV2.html

and some sort of bug exists that it is calling it on ozzu (the site serving the ad), instead of their website.

Firefox on three different computers, so it's not just the one browser cache...

So I finally had some more time to look into this and I believe you are not the only one with the problem. I am seeing numerous IP addresses that have something like this in the error logs:

Code: [ Select ]
[Thu Dec 13 16:08:14 2012] [error] [client 11.111.111.11] File does not exist: /home/ozzu/public_html/eyeblaster, referer: http://ad.yieldmanager.com/iframe3?LxFeD1uWLQCoXxABAAAAAKaEQQAAAAAAAAAAAAoAAAAAAA0AAQAFE4bsQAAAAAAAqoQGAAAAAABiTFYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADPShUAAAAAAAIAAwAAgD8AAAAAAAAAAAAzMzMfNp29PwAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGq2tyD8AAAAAAAAAAAAAAOu6kNQ.AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAADMS.ntZVITDYsRUeQdOZRZoaAHnWnuzufNFZA9AAAAAA==,,http%3A%2F%2Fwww.ozzu.com%2F,B%3D10%26Z%3D160x600%26_salt%3D1089046575%26r%3D0%26s%3D2987611,54fe4a3e-4582-11e2-b9a2-78e7d1f5c9a0,1355443684854

So at least I have the source of the ad platform causing the problem now. Going to look further if I can track it down and somehow block the yieldmanager ads.

According to my logs it was definitely still happening for lots of people and finally traced it down to Mediamind. I had contacted them yesterday and they responded with:

Quote:
We will be investigating the cause of the issue further and resolve this from our end. Initial check shows that this is connected to our search campaign. Will send out an update as soon as we can.

So that is also good to hear that they are acknowledging that.

Thanks for taking the time to troubleshoot it and finding the source. When it was happening it was driving me nuts, and I know I'm wasn't crazy! lol
