I was looking for something just now and noticed this result in Google's SERP. The creation date for the thread is actually 1/5/2011, but it looks like Google is picking up the date I joined Ozzu and displaying that date in a way which, at least I, would decipher as the date the thread happened if I didn't know better.

My first thought is that maybe the join date should be removed from the member section of posts, but it's sort of a useful piece of information. My second thought is to replace "joined: 1/1/1111" with "Member for: N.N Years". Last but not least, my third thought is that Google's doing some user-specific mojo on my result and I'm the only one seeing it like that. :)

I'm thinking since google, most likely "reads" left to right in the English language and the member table data cell is farthest to the left in the table row it picks up that date first (i.e. your join date), versus picking up the post date. Wonder what would happen if the user info column was moved to the right of the post column?

That would certainly be easier than changing the way the date is displayed.
