Does ozzu.com have an IRC server? If not, is anything along those lines planned? It would be nice to chat in real time.

Yep, there's a few live servers actually.
Not everyone chooses to connect to them though.

If you look at peoples profiles, you'll notice some buttons.

MSN Messenger:
Yahoo Messenger:
AIM Address:
ICQ Number:

Each of thoose is a channel you can use to connect to other Ozzu members with the names they've provided. :D

I meant an IRC server, not individuals who have IM contacts.

The opinion is pretty mutch "adsense cant be displayed in IRC so its not going to happen". There are plenty of other webmaster channels though, if thats what you are lookinig for.

No, I thought there might have been an everyday IRC server connected with ozzu.com or the possibility that one might be started. Apparently, the answer to both of those is no, so I'm just going to leave it at that and if things change, I'm sure I'll hear about it.

The opinion is pretty much "The IRC server would take away many useful posts that could be archived to help others in the future. It would also take away content which can be used to bring in more visitors to ozzu from the search engines which only helps everyone here as it makes the community stronger and bigger"

It has nothing to do with adsense ads.

i would just like to say that i am apart of a lua programming forum http://www.evilmana.com it was going well and was quite busy, then they intoruded an irc server and now the forum is hardly used.....then everyone got bord of the irc and now the site has become a bit of a flop.

well by what you have just said then that is the last thing that ozzu wants, no forum wants to lose members. But think about all the members we would lose on the forum.
