OZZU is really a nice place to hang out!

Just a suggestion!

Would it be possible to have a section
of where people can share their business
history and meet partners whether it's
hiring or partnership. Anything related
to online business ;) Maybe people can
share opportunities together...;)

Probably all webmasters can work together
and build a site like MSN or Yahoo...;)
~like,,only interested people will form
a group and share ideas...then take further
steps ..and so on~

I think many people will participate!!

:) Just a suggestion, admin and moderators

I support the notion of having a Business Mangagement/Marketing category, but I seem to be the only one.

The problem comes when people with less common sense/ethics feel that it is just a place to spam - as they already do quite a bit on various other sections of the site (but y'all don't see it because they get deleted).

Creating a new area like this in theory is a great idea. I'm behind dM, but in reality, it would just be abused too much.

that's quite true axe,

If the area could be a restricted area for those who have
particpated enough and won't spam for sure, it would be
a killer idea to have one. I really wish if you guys would
consider that. I see lots of you have skills .. if all those
skills combined, probably a leverage in action I would say:)

yeah, restricted area for those of whom can trust each other
and won't spam only accepted..

that kind of idea?..

I see... there could be lots of opportunites for each other.:)

The problem is, we wouldn't want to discriminate against new users, who are here posting in good faith looking to find information.

But, until we get to know them, we don't know who to trust and who not to trust. By that point, they might've got bored & gone away - which defeats the whole purpose.

What if the category was self pruning, say after a month, and un-indexed by SE's, and these things were made clear to posters?

I would, of course, volunteer to moderate it. :D

perhaps you could have an "Introduce your website/business" thread, then people are limited to making X # spam posts in there per day/week/month.

and what is the marketing section focused SOLLY on website marketing, eg: on ways to sell your site, programs you can recommend, etc.

I was thinking more along the lines of "What do I charge?", "What's an NDA? Should I sign it?", "Do I give my PSD's to my client.", "My client keeps calling me with changes.", "I have no clients, where do I start?"... and so on.

If you're an independent webmaster, or you're working at a small company, these issues are just as important as design, development and programming, in my opinion.

IH8Purple, agree. "Introduce your website/business" section with limit of message posts per day/week/ or month and per person should work out good probably. And if anybody tried to spam, ip gets banned forever.

ssw: I don't think IP bans are effective at all, I am on a non-static IP, so by blocking my IP, I just have to reboot my modem, and let some otehr sucker get stuck without ozzu. but I do agree that their should be harsh punishments

ANTO: thats a good point, I tihnk those would be important as well. But are you suggesting that there should not be an element of selling your site aswell? or that both could live there?
