Heya folks,

Just started using Opera because the new version got some awesome reviews [ and since using it I have moved away from FireFox :o ].

Anywho, the rollover changed of the links in the Ozzu forum doesn't work correctly, that and the [ Home Profile Search ... ] text at the top is a strange font.

Probs not a priority fix seeing as most folks still use IE [ *gag* ] and FF but I thought I'd mention it all the same.

The links issue is easily fixed.

1) Right click anywhere on an Ozzu page.

2) Select "Edit Site Preferences..." (if it's not there, make sure you're using the latest version of Opera, & that you didn't right-click on top of a link or anything)

3) Click the "Scripting" tab.

4) "Choose" a folder for Opera to load special scripts from just for Ozzu.

5) Save the script below as "fader.js" in the folder chosen in step 4.

Code: [ Select ]
window.opera.defineMagicFunction(
 'currentColour',
 function (oldFunction, thisReference, index)
    {
        var temp, cc;
        cc = document.defaultView.getComputedStyle(document.links[index], '').getPropertyValue("color");
        if (cc.length == 4 && cc.substring(0, 1) == "#")
            {
                temp = "";
                for (var a = 0; a < 3; a++)
                    temp += cc.substring(a+1, a+2) + cc.substring(a+1, a+2);
                cc = temp;
            }
        else if (cc.indexOf("rgb") != -1) cc = convertRGB(cc)
        else if (cc.length == 7) cc = cc.substring(1, 7)
        else cc = fadeTo;
        return cc;
    }
);
  1. window.opera.defineMagicFunction(
  2.  'currentColour',
  3.  function (oldFunction, thisReference, index)
  4.     {
  5.         var temp, cc;
  6.         cc = document.defaultView.getComputedStyle(document.links[index], '').getPropertyValue("color");
  7.         if (cc.length == 4 && cc.substring(0, 1) == "#")
  8.             {
  9.                 temp = "";
  10.                 for (var a = 0; a < 3; a++)
  11.                     temp += cc.substring(a+1, a+2) + cc.substring(a+1, a+2);
  12.                 cc = temp;
  13.             }
  14.         else if (cc.indexOf("rgb") != -1) cc = convertRGB(cc)
  15.         else if (cc.length == 7) cc = cc.substring(1, 7)
  16.         else cc = fadeTo;
  17.         return cc;
  18.     }
  19. );

What this does is have Opera rewrite one of the fading links functions so that it gets the needed attributes in a form Opera understands.

As far as I know, Opera 9 & Safari are the ONLY browsers that pass acid2.

Sounds like there's one for 3 systems. :D

Opera - Windows
Safari - Mac
Konqueror - *nix

Yah Opera does tend to get you into trouble if you don't know that you have to close tabs before you close the window :oops: The old man found out the hard way. *in a complete rant * "Get this *peaching* Opera off my computer, every time I go to use it porn keeps appearing. It must be those guys driving by stealing our wireless signal who keep on doing it. God dam Opera"

Tools > Prefrences > Startup > Set to "Start with blank page".

Man, that's funnier than getting caught because you left the porn in the VCR.

It wasn't me who got caught, for once. I remember the days of close calls and rushing to put every "thing" away. Just never thought I would be the one who would be doing the catching.
But anyway thanks to you I have this new found technology and I like Opera far better than IE. Hey do you know anything about plug ins ? I need them to watch porn sometimes or I'm forced to go back to IE and have the vid encounter a problem before the happy ending?
