Not a bad suggestion at all. I don't think we really ever considered it before. I guess we can add it to "the list" and put something together in the near future.

If we start signing up now then you will know how many members sign up to see if its worth it or build it into the user profile. No point sending issue 1 to only 10 members and no advertiser would sponsored that for $20.

We could also have 1 user contributed article on a webmaster/computer related topic.

I know http://www.htmlforums.com had a good one. Oh and don’t send out address to anyone or send those crap special offer spam.

This is sample of AV newsletter but you can do better by adding hot topics from each category, Quiz, and an editors article on a webmaster type topic like Ad sense, programming trends or anything related...

Quote:
Dear AV Talker,

As we race towards our 4000th registered member we thought it timely to update
you on some of the new additions at AV Talk.

Last week saw a new forum area open for discussion about all things related to
HDTV (High Definition TV - it's hardware and software). This was opened due to
repeated requests from forum members and recognises the emergence and importance
of this amazing new format.

This follows the launch of our two channel dedicated Hi Fi Forum earlier this
year and the runaway success of our Members' Gallery section.

We'd also like to draw your attention to our latest competition at:

http://www.avtalk.co.uk/forum/index.php ... 1093945951

This gives you the chance to win Auralex acoustic products - the Gramma
subwoofer isolation platform and MoPads speaker isolation supports... and best
of all, it's free to enter. The competition closes today, so get your entry in
quickly.

Look out for our next competition, details of which will be announced soon. A
very limited numbers Powerbuy is also planned for the incredible new Velodyne
CHT-R range of subwoofers which look set to take the sub-£1000 market by storm.
Also keep an eye out for the launch of a forthcoming new website which will be
of interest to anyone with an interest in AV and Hi Fi equipment...

Best regards,
The AV Talk Team
