Just figured I'd start a thread for people to post any bugs and transition-related issues in. Here are a few I've encountered:

- Homepage loads very slowly [fixed]
- Emoticons extend beyond containing div
- Some people (such as myself) had their avatars lost

Everything else looks great!

*For those who lose their avatars, you can find them again if you look at a Google-cached thread that you've posted in, look at the source, and get the URL to your old avatar there.

Should be faster now. Had issues with the transfer of some avatars, some will have to reupload as spork said. Emoticons I will look into.

Hmmm... it seems like the div for your top text ad is overlapping the header link div. There's an area of the header that isn't clickable, and it's the one area I keep trying to click most of the time, lol

Also, the line number thing for the code tags only adds a little seperator when the line numbers are disabled and then re-enabled ... test this here:
Code: [ Select ]
<h1>Test code</h1>
<p>Some test code so you can see what I mean</p>
<p>Just another line for the heck of it ...</p>
  1. <h1>Test code</h1>
  2. <p>Some test code so you can see what I mean</p>

Also i think it'd be cool that when I report a post and I get the email saying that it's resolved that there is a link in it to directly PM the mod involved ... instead of just saying "contact *mod's name* by PM" ...

I miss the "Mark all posts read" link when viewing "Unread Posts".
There's a "Mark Forums Read" on the index page that works the same, but is less convenient.

Only the bottom of the Ozzu logo is clickable now in Opera & Firefox. As noted by the green outline in this screenshot.
Image

There's no "Go" or similar button for the "Display posts from previous" dropdown in view active topics, & it doesn't appear to take effect just by selecting an option. Enter does however, submit the form.

Should be fixed now. Please make sure you do a hard refresh on ozzu to reload the CSS. Please let me know if its fixed for you.

Is that what you are referring to spork?

In some posts with images, theres a massive gap at the top before the text starts, don't know if this has been mentioned before, but I am using IE6 at a net cafe, so could be IE6.

Your Ozzu Statistics page is not functioning. Not entirely sure if it's a PhpBB3 update or whether it was like this on the light theme as i've only just started using this theme.

It is moved here:

I just need to change the link. More stats will become available later -- and eventually much more than there were before. Once you goto that page you can access other stats pages on the top right menu.

The rules in the Website Review section are gone.

So the new users are posting their site's for a review without giving 3 reviews themself.. They get a closed topic, but they haven't seen the rules at all

And I have another suggestion, some members have filled in their whole profile (msn, aol, yahoo, website, etc.) and then their are too much icons beneath the avatar. I think their should be a break after the last icon. Like this post, it looks a bit messy to me:

Not sure if it's intentional or not, but this appears at the top of the Competitions forum in place of the "Post a new topic" link.
Quote:

I'm guessing that it's because only moderators create threads in that forum, but it's kind of confusing to see that message even when I'm logged in.

There are still alot of issues with the dark version. That is why on the dropdown menu when you choose the theme it should say:

dark (not finished)

I will eventually find time to finish that theme.

There doesn't appear to be anything to notify visitors the Flash Player is required to view the charted results of polls.

Since Ozzu has had Flash disabled for years I never bothered to setup an override for it in Opera (I browse with plugins turned off by default). I was left wondering why there was a large blank spot above a poll untill I opened the source and looked.

I made it off by default now. You would think that would be a simple task huh? It required me to completely recode the javascript that came with that mod. At least my version is leaner and meaner now :)

Another option that might be better turned off by default: the "Notify me once dealt with" option for reporting posts. I'm sure most of us don't want to be notified after a moderator deletes spam or cleans up the post; we just want to report it an be done with it.

I'm aware you're still working on it, but on the Dark theme the "friend" posts appear in white which makes reading it impossible unless you highlight the text due to the text being a similar colour.

Is this possible to be changed so that using the dark theme can be a bit more comfortable?

Thanks! That was driving me insane, and I really like the dark theme, but I had to use the light theme cos I couldn't read friends posts.

Out of curiosity I logged out and checked the bot... and you know what? It was there but I didn't see anything... The bot had a blank post... I think it's just me though since someone here had posted that he/she had seeing that... Why can't I see it? I was logged out.

I see, that most likely just means Ozzu had no ad to show -- I simply haven't provided an alternate ad for it yet.

mswindows-forum/error-message-startup-t86096.html

Goto that thread and try copying the logfile from the code block. Whenever I try to copy it (manually or using the link to select all), it copies over the line numbers to the clipboard even when I have them turned off.

It could just be my platform, but I'm using Firefox on Mac 10.4, so it shouldn't be any different..

Hmm that is weird, I am not sure why it is doing that. With IE it is fine, with FF it copies the list numbers from the li tags.

It doesn't do that for me...

[EDIT] Okay, it didn't do that to me... Now it does... It shows the numbers when I highlight them and paste them to anything... didn't before :scratchhead:

Appears to be style information missing if someone replies to a thread between the time you hit reply and when you hit preview.

Not really a bug, but a missing feature (I think). I seem to recall back in phpBB2 that you had it set up so that topic titles with multiple punctuation marks (i.e. !!!!!!!) would be reduced to one. That no longer seems to happen, such as with this topic.

Maybe I was just imagining this?

It is a bug, but of a different kind. As in, it bugs you... du-dum tsch!

Anyhoo, just another small request here. Is it possible to have a link towards the top of the screen for "mark all topics as read" i notice that there only appears to be the one at the bottom of the forum page.

The really strange part is that the colored numbers are there whether the line numbers should be visible or not.

You know, by the time you add up all the bytes taken to color code stuff & consider the time taken by the server to process it, somthing like the dpSyntaxHighlighter might be worth looking into.

http://code.google.com/p/syntaxhighligh ... i/Overview

Restricting availability to registered members might ensure it gets used enough times to offset the JS download before a cache is cleared.

There's a note on the project page stating it's not meant for 10KB sections of code, but I can't remember the last time I saw a 10KB piece of code here.

I've always liked that thing, but being the bandwidth miser I am it seems hard to justify a nearly 40KB download just to look at a 1KB code block so I've always just forgotten about it.

Definetely something worth looking into for registered members and you are right probably not worth it for the non registered as it would increase bandwidth alot. Plus it would give another incentive for guests to become visitors. I am not happy with the GeSHi syntax highlighter mod for phpBB3.

It's an inconvenience i'd prefer not to have to do on the long pages especially as i'm using my laptop touchpad instead of a mouse.

Have i ever questioned your sensible suggestions on Ozzu? i'd appreciate if you didn't do the same to mine. Whether the request is acted upon by Bigwebmaster is entirely up to him, not you.

I do not see any real spot to put this link SB as the spot I would normally put it is already taken (the link that is for "post a new topic" is currently taking up the position). The only place I can think of putting it is maybe on the menu on the right under "Posting Information". If you have any suggestions please let me know.

It happened because I made a mistake in a template file. I realized this immediately and tried to reupload the file and then my connection decided to stop working. Good timing huh.
