Hi there

I know, I have been away for a while, main reason being that this forum is soooo slow.

Now that I'm checking back in, it still is very very slow.

So I thought, write about it over here, this is a great place, but on cable connection having to wait for 6-10 seconds before the page appears, it just isn't fun.

Could this not be a problem on your machine internet connection?

There are no problems on this machine with Ozzu. Infact, it's one the fastest website i visit often on the web.

There are times when pageload is slow. Bigweb and I have observed instances of 50 seconds or more at times. He is aware of it and taking steps to solve it. Normally it should load just fine. This is just a random problem and doesn't normally happen frequently.

Ozzu is regularly slow for me as well, making it tolerable to browse the site only in the wee hours of the early morn (eastern time).

I just rewrote some code that might have been causing the slowdown from time to time. There might be more issues, but this one was showing up in the mysql slow query log quite a bit. In some cases bogging up the board for over a minute.

The code I rewrote seems to have increased the inefficient MySQL statement by over 500 times in how fast it takes to complete.

I am curious if things seem any faster for you guys. Also if you notice any bugs with regards to topic/post tracking please let me know as this change is directly related to this.

Thanks, BWM. At the moment the site seems fine, with only occasional momentary slowdowns. Appreciate your effort!
