Page numbering system

just a quick suggestion thought it might be handy.

with some topics going into the 100+ pages it would be good to be able to go to a specific page like say 52 without having to click back 50 odd times to get there.

I'm not certain how that could be accomplished. However, there is a work-around. When you are reading a topic, you can shorten the number of pages considerably. If you scroll down to the bottom of the topic page, you'll see a drop down window that let's you filter the thread by All Posts (the default) 1 day, 7 days, 2 weeks, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year.

If the filter you choose drops the total number of pages below 100, you should then be able to see all the page numbers. I think it's only once it surpasses 100 that the page numbers are condensed like:
Goto page 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 ... 625, 626, 627 Next

That's not exactly the solution you were after, but it should help.
Also, the default is to display the posts oldest to newest. You'll see there is also the option to reverse that.
