Ok... here is the PHP

PHP Code: [ Select ]
<?php
echo 'This is some script\'s that requires escaping of quotes...';
?>
  1. <?php
  2. echo 'This is some script\'s that requires escaping of quotes...';
  3. ?>

It shows the blue "'" but it doesn't show the "\"...

It is useful to see the "\" especially in tutorials which I wrote two additional ones (that are awaiting approval by the way :P).

It helps to see that those are required there... especially if someone is just copying/pasting the code...

So, there is no possible way that this would be fixed... I consider it to be a bug and it certainly bugs me.

I have to agree here -- the [php] block certainly should be showing the backslash in the code fragments. This could cause a lot of confusion for people who are trying to learn from code segments in threads.

I will have to look into it, this one is more difficult to figure out why its parsing it incorrectly.
