It appears that the usual system of 2 points per top level post and 1 point per response isn't working as usual.
I've added two upper level posts as well as three of four replies in the past 1 and a half days, yet have only been awarded one point per post.

Has anything changed, or is the point system on the fritz?

Cheers...

I'm only seeing one point per top level post as well. I tested it in the test forum and have the same results as CC. I haven't made any top levels in other boards yet though, but something seems amiss.

I thought the test forum wasn't supposed to add points or increment the post count at all.

Yet this is happening site-wide...I don't post in the test forum.

As IH8Purple has said, the test forum should not add any points to your participation, but will add to your post count.

Never mind....I think I see where he is at. Here's the deal. Each post you make only adds one point per post to your post total no matter where you are. Participation points should acrue as you indicated. I was looking and seeing almost the identical thing you were, but was looking at post total vs. point total. *duh! I've checked it in a half dozen boards now. The point system is working just fine.

Here it is...

The posts per upper level post are supposed to be 2 participatation points per new topic post, and 1 participatation point per reply, but all posts, regardless of them being new topic or reply are only awarding 1 point....at least for me.

The difference between the number of my posts and the number of participation points right now is 7, it was six five days ago, yet I've now made at least four upper level posts since then that should account for an additional four point difference:
eg 11 point difference between the number of posts and the number of participation points, but it ain't so...

Don't get me wrong, I'm not posting to get the points, I'm just a curious person by nature.
