I was just reading through some of the Announcements topics, and while reading the topic about points, I can't up with an idea.

Perhaps a points system could be re-instated, but with more of a point to it.

Each member would have a person points stats page, viewable by all members. Each member would gain points for posting in certain places, and it would be recorded on their points stats. For example, if someone posted a reply in the Webdesign section, then a point would be added to their webdesign stats. The same with posting in every other section.

Additionally, a members search could be created, with the option to search by 'category with highest number of posts'. This way, someone looking for help in a certain area would be able to content certain people with their problems.

This should be 'I came up with an idea.'

First of all the points system we used to use was removed, specifically because it was a detriment. It will not be reinstated. Second, we do not wish for members to seek specific individuals in PM to gain answers to their problems. In fact the moderator policy is we do not assist with problems in PM and the member PM'ing a question to a moderator is directed to post their question on the public boards so that all may benefit from it.
