Up until now, whenever I was browsing the reviews and noticed that someone gave three crap reviews just to be able to post their own site, I'd usually just quote their reviews, explain to them that they need to give some detailed feedback, and leave it at that.

Now I'm wondering, should we just report the thread instead? It seems like it would be an easier solution, but I don't know whether the moderators want to be notified of that kind of thing regularly or if the report functionality should be limited to things like spam, etc.

We try to catch those and lock the post until they have given good reviews. All moderators have rights in that forum and although we make every effort to catch them all we do miss some. If you see that happen and it's not locked by a moderator, then by all means report it. Most of us have our emails set to be notified of reported posts even if we aren't here.
