It seems like this forum is very tight with each other. I know this is a long shot, but possibly having a bartering/trade category? People could offer services for products/services for services/products for services?

I doubt this will be approved, but just wanted to throw it out there.

on one side it would be cool for the community... but then it would also get spammed to death

so -
members - good for community

mods - alot of work, spammed to death.

i would love that catagory lol

maybe they could put a limit on it, so only 200 posts and above, so only dedicated members can use it lol

I'd like to see a category for the business end of webmastering. I'd like to see 3 forums within: Marketing(other than SEO), Barter/Trade, Help wanted.

I think requiring a certain post level is great. With the exception of Marketing, I'd have the other forums self-prune and only allow threads to only live for a month or two.

ocforums has a buy/sell forum, but you don't even see it unless you've got at least 100 posts...

That way could work, although it could also invoke people signing up, then spamming the site to get their 100 posts and get into the hidden forum.

Yeah -- sorta like the participation points did.

i think we should at lest have a trial run just to see how it worked but dont make it 100 posts till you can post make it like 250 and pruned one a week or 2

I think allowing one Spam post per month, or week and minimum post count is all you would really need. In fact with such restrictions and a Spam forum I think the idea could work well and actually be of use/benefit to the community.

or you could bring back the Participation Points, and require a minimum amount of those in order to post in the 'spam forum'

except, rather then PP being given away just for posting, they must be earned then given to you by a mod

(perhaps we would want to make a forth kind of moderator, that only gives out PP as I'm sure all the others are busy enough)

This'll definately be a great addition to the forum. There's a lot of potential on Ozzu and affiliation/barter/trade/help wanted type of forum will optimize that potential! When's it getting launched?!

Probably never. ;)

This is a subject that has come up before, but it has never really moved passed the talking stage.
