I always thought that the phpBB post count was just a added when the users posts. But now I can see that the board goes and looks at all the posts and then finds who posts them. This forum must take a nice server to run it. Every time you open a page the script looks through 309370 entrys... wow 309371 now :D

No SpooF - much simpler than that. The users post count is stored in the phpbb_users table and incremented each time the user posts or decrimented each time a users post gets deleted.

So really, it's one "simple" query of the users table. (and I do believe Bigweb has a pretty nice server running it lol)
