To repeat the title: Put a 'Go Advanced' button below the Quick Reply box, which behaves just like the 'Preview' button does.

This would be a significant enhancement to the user interface of the web site.

I've tried a synthetic preview button with user.js
Couldn't get it to work.

I usually Ctrl+A -> click "Post Reply" -> Ctrl+V whenever needed.

No I'm not cowkiller.

That's actually what I usually do.

I'm not exactly the brightest orange on the tree, though some years during Haloween, I'm the brightest pumpkin in the neighborhood, but that's another story.

Well, there is an "advanced" quick reply MOD that has the bbcode options You can see an example of it at my board - http://www.boastingrights.com/ftopic3779.html ), but then, what's the point. If you need those just hit the normal reply button from the getgo. I think what I've seen (pretty sure it's vB boards is that if you start typing something in quick reply and decide you want advance mode it let's you go there and retains what you've already typed. Not certain I've ever seen a phpBB mod to do that though. That's more a javascript function anyway, I think.

//For the record, yes, the example link was simply spam. A moderator can edit it out if they want to *grins

I have an extra "Quick Quote" button when I browse Ozzu that lets me go down the topic & have multiple posts quoted & appended to the quick reply box.
[Dead Link]

A button that simply acts as Sam Hughes explained, would be nice.

I don't know if Javascript will cut it though, I've tried altering the name of the HTML form, & the name of the button that submits the form to emulate a submission from the fullblown reply page with little success.

The closest I've come is having it work if there is absolutely nothing in the quick reply message box, in which case it goes to the preview mode, with a blank preview.
As soon as I enter a message, it breaks.

I have actually got a great "Quick reply" mod which i installed a number of months ago on my community forum and without trying to be a bit big headed here, but i think this is the best mod i have seen of this quick reply.

Image

Looking at that, if i had the "URL", "IMG", "LIST" etc etc buttons then i am sure that would make the mod on my site the best. It has your preview button plus the graphics. To be honest, as i type this i am questioning the point on me keeping the "reply" buttons there and just encourage people to use the Quick reply command as the only way you can reply.

I think though, what seems to be on ATNO's site is great. It dosn't seem to be a tricky thing to change to including a preview button to what Ozzu currently has if that is what you were hoping for.
