By default members of the forum will have the notification enabled which notifies them if anybody responds to their posts. I have made the default this to help ensure that some of the new guys come back. You can always disable or enable this feature by going to your profile section and changing

"Always notify me of replies"

to the way you would like it.

and the quick reply box is merely a small text box at the bottom of each
thread's page where you can type in your response without having to
click "Post Reply" every time. I like it, and hope we add it at some point.

I never use the email functions for replies. I can see how that would be
really annoying. Just go turn it off! :)

It can be annoying for regular posters, as I have finally turned it off for me, but for the people who do not post that much its a great feature and reminds them that ozzu still exists ;)

sounds interesting, but I don't really see what takes so long :-P

I mean if I read a whole post then I don't have to scroll to click reply, and occasionally I'll click new post, but thats about it.

b_heyer - it's only a matter of convenience of not clicking reply every
single solitary time I want to reply. The text box is there, at the bottom
of all the posts in the thread of every page to type. click submit and voila!
